Question:

I am British and currently in Laos I do not have a visa and was hoping to enter Vietnam overland. There are companies claiming that I can get an approval code and bring it into the vIetnamese embassy in Vientiane to receive the stamp. The price is considerably cheaper than going into the embassy and paying them to do it and will save waiting around for 3 days. Can you tell me if this is method is accepted by the agencies or would they refuse me? Many thanks in advance. Michael

Although visa code is applicabile, we would like to suggest you coming to Vietnam Embassy in Laos and appling for visa in person. In reality, service fee is not much higher than applying through Travel Agent. Sometimes, you can get a visa stamped in the same day. It means that you do not need to wait until 3 days.
